As you are likely aware, coconut oil is all the rage these days. And after hearing so much about it, chatting with friends who are major fans from making their own shampoos and conditioners to skincare, I decided I need to get a little more nutty! When my nighttime skin cream started running low, and after being overwhelmed by all the crazy products out there loaded with crap, I decide I was going to venture out and whip up my own skin cream using….you guessed it….
I have been using it for 3 weeks now as a night cream and all I can say is WOW! My skin is hydrated, not greasy, my pores are no longer congested, sun spots and other blotchy areas have lightened drastically and I fall asleep feeling like I am on a tropical island! Now that is BLISS!
I did a bunch of research online and decided simple is best.
Organic High Quality Coconut Oil
Lavender Essential Oil
What you need:
A mixing bowl
A travel storage container with a tight lid
Take 3 tablespoons of the coconut oil and put into mixing bow, add 4-5 drops of Lavender oil, beat on medium for 10 minutes, transfer to container and keep in a cool place (i.e. under your bathroom counter)
Did you know coconut oil also has a SPF of 4?
And….so much more!
I am so thrilled with my new night cream and have many of my gals hooked! The best part- it costs less than $3 for at least a 4 month supply! (you just need a tiny amount)
Store in a dark cupboard- preferably a cool spot
Your skin will radiate, feel silky soft, pores will clear, and fine lines and wrinkles will tighten up.
Happy skin! Happy YOU!
